Day 01: Arrival in Paro to Thimphu (1.2 hrs)

Fly to Bhutan on the wings of the Dragon. Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, complete immigration formalities and exit through the sole arrival gate, where the us dedicated team will be waiting with a placard to ensure no one is missed. You will be warmly welcomed with a khaddar and then proceed to Thimphu, a journey of approximately one and a half hours. The route follows the Paro River until Chuzom, where it transitions to the Thimphu River, guiding us to the heart of Bhutan's capital, Thimphu. The drive is exceptionally scenic, offering picturesque views of charming villages such as Bondey, Shaba, and Isuna along the way.

Day 02: Thimphu Sightseeing

Thimphu – This vibrant little city serves as the hub of commerce, religion, and government in Bhutan. As the country’s most modern city, Thimphu boasts a variety of restaurants, internet cafes, nightclubs, and shopping centers. Despite its modernization, the city has successfully preserved its cultural heritage and traditions. Notably, it is often described as the world’s only capital without traffic lights.

Phajoding Hike –
Embark on a full-day trek to Phajoding, including a picnic lunch and an opportunity to meditate in one of Bhutan’s most sacred and tranquil temples. The hike begins at Motithang, near the takin mini zoo. The initial 30-minute walk through a serene pine forest, surrounded by bushes and the scent of lemon grass, provides a refreshing start to this spiritual journey.

Day 03: Thimphu to Punakha (2.5 hrs)

Start the most scenic drive to Punakha from Thimphu over dochula pass which takes about two hours. After the break at Dochula, the road descends into Wangdue and Punakha taking us to one of the warmest places of Bhutan. Dochula pass 3150m: The pass is at a popular location as it offers a stunning 180 degree panoramic view of the Great Himalayan mountain ranges. The view is especially scenic and very clear on winter days with snowcapped mountains forming a majestic backdrop to the tranquility of the 108 chortens gracing the mountain pass.

Day 04: Punakha to Phobjikha (3 hrs)

The Journey to Phobjikha – The road to Phobjikha winds through the historic town of Wangdue, leading into the stunning Black Mountain region and onward to Gangtey. This drive offers some of the most picturesque views of forests, waterfalls, hills, rivers, and quaint villages. It also traverses the serene Pelela Pass before descending into the enchanting Phobjikha Valley. Today’s journey with us

promises to be both scenic and adventurous.

Walking the Suspension Bridge – The Punakha Suspension Bridge, one of the longest in Bhutan, connects the Punakha Dzong to the villages of Shengana, Samdingkha, and Wangkha across the Po Chhu River. These villages, dotted with small traditional shops, offer a glimpse into authentic Bhutanese life, making it a perfect spot for a quick and immersive cultural experience. To reach the suspension bridge from the dzong, visitors must stroll past the King’s Palace and the cremation ground, adding a touch of history to the journey.

Day 05: Phobjikha Halt

The Valley of Black-Necked Cranes – Known for its stunning natural beauty and often called the "Asian Switzerland," Phobjikha Valley is a haven of tranquility. With its rhododendron forests and graceful black-necked cranes, the valley offers a glimpse into Bhutan’s pristine wilderness. The charming homestays and the opportunity to immerse oneself in the Bhutanese lifestyle, cuisine, and culture make this a truly enriching experience.

Gangtey Nature Trail – This short, easy trek takes you through scenic villages and serene monasteries, offering breathtaking views of Bhutan's landscape. The trail winds gently downhill through forested slopes, making it accessible to most hikers. Ideal for a two-hour walk, the Gangtey Nature Trail is best enjoyed between September and May. However, it is not recommended during rainy days due to slippery paths.

Day 06: Phobjikha to Paro (6 hrs)

Farewell to the Asian Switzerland – As we bid adieu to the breathtaking Phobjikha Valley, we retrace our journey back to Thimphu, passing through Pelela, Wangdue, Dochula, and Chuzom before reaching Paro. This scenic drive offers a refreshing experience, with another chance to marvel at the majestic snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas.

Longtey Hike – This delightful hike takes about 3-4 hours, leading through lush bamboo thickets and a quaint cluster of village houses. Along the way, you’ll encounter vibrant rhododendron forests flanking the valley, creating a magical atmosphere. During the winter, yaks can often be spotted grazing peacefully in the area.

Lampelri Botanical Garden –
This enchanting garden is a treasure trove of biodiversity, showcasing a variety of plants, herbs, birds, and animals. A visit here offers a serene and educational experience, perfect for nature enthusiasts.

Day 07: Paro Sightseeing

Paro: A Picturesque Valley – This enchanting region in Bhutan is a treasure trove of fertile rice fields and a pristine crystalline river that gracefully winds through the valley. Paro is home to significant historical landmarks, luxurious tourist resorts, and numerous souvenir shops, including the renowned Taktsang Monastery.

Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest) –
Perched dramatically on a sheer cliff 900 meters above the valley floor, Taktsang Monastery is Bhutan’s most iconic landmark and a revered Buddhist pilgrimage site. Its name, translating to "The Tiger’s Nest," stems from a legendary tale of Guru Padmasambhava flying to this site on a tiger’s back. The monastery’s challenging hike, with inclines of 30-40 degrees, can take good trekkers around 2 hours to complete, while most visitors dedicate an entire day to the ascent and descent.

Kyichu Lhakhang –
Known as the "Sacred Jewel of Bhutan," this ancient temple was commissioned by Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo to subdue a giant ogress that sprawled across Tibet and the Himalayas, hindering the spread of Buddhism. Legend holds that Kyichu Lhakhang was built at the ogress's left foot as part of 108 temples constructed in a single night. Though originally modest in size, the temple was later expanded, becoming the grand and revered structure seen today..
